Peshawar Block
Hycarbex has been granted an exploration lease for the development of the Peshawar Block (3371-13), located in the Khyber Pakhtunkwha province. Located south of Peshawar city, the block is currently being evaluated by Hycarbex for suitable ways of effective exploration.
Peshawar Block in the south of Peshawar City, between Peshawar and Kohat and falls on the west bank of Indus River.
The area of Peshawar Block includes much of the area of Peshawar city including Hayatabad, which is accessible by road, train and air. It is slightly north of Kohat city and covers an area of roughly 2500 sq km. Given the rough terrain, there are some areas which are accessible only by foot.
The block shows promising signs of discoveries due to the presence of active oil and gas seeps within it’s area. Additionally, the surrounding blocks account for over 50% of Pakistan’s entire oil and gas production. A recent study shows that petroleum systems exist within the block, adding to it’s potential for discovery.
